As a dedicated research engineer with over two decades of rich experience in telecommunications, telematics and automotive engineering. As Test Engineer – Interoperability at Ford Motor Company of Canada’s Innovation Centre in Ottawa, Sunil leads the validation of telematics control units (TCUs) for connected vehicles, focusing on 5G NR, LTE, C-V2X, interoperability and compliance with 3GPP standards. His research interests include software-defined vehicles, CAN and DoIP communication architectures, advanced antenna design and magnetic materials for wireless applications. Sunil has an extensive background in 5G NR, CV2X and LTE network technologies.
Sunil is an IEEE Senior Member and Distinguished Fellow of the Soft Computing Research Society (SCRS). He serves as Chair of the IEEE Vehicular Technology Society (VTS) Ottawa Chapter and Treasurer of the IET Ottawa Chapter. An active author, peer reviewer, conference speaker and fellowship assessor, Sunil connects research with practical engineering to advance reliable communication and evaluate complex systems under realistic operating conditions.
