Karl Heimer is a former white-hat hacker and also developed/managed secure system development and special software tool creation for a niche client base. He got involved with the Auto Industry around 2011 and founded the CyberAuto Challenge in 2012 to help the industry connect to talent and threats (and subsequently founded or co-founded similar events for other transportation sectors). Karl also developed the ACT Training for the Auto-ISAC and NHTSA and assisted in rolling out the program in its initial year.
