Alison Pascale leads federal, state, and local government affairs and community engagement for MOIA America, an autonomous mobility company within Volkswagen Group. With more than 30 years of experience across government, transportation policy, and the automotive industry, she helps shape the company’s public policy strategy as autonomous mobility technologies move toward scaled deployment in the United States. Her work focuses on advancing policies that support innovation, strengthen safety, and build public trust in autonomous vehicle technologies.
Pascale works closely with policymakers, regulators, industry leaders, and community stakeholders on legislative, regulatory, and stakeholder engagement strategies related to autonomous mobility. She currently serves on the Board of Directors for the Autonomous Vehicle Industry Association (AVIA) and previously chaired both the Alliance for Automotive Innovation’s Technology, Innovation, and Mobility Policy Committee and the Consumer Technology Association’s Self-Driving Vehicle Working Group.
Before joining MOIA America, Pascale led automated vehicle policy efforts for Audi in the U.S. and previously served in a senior leadership role at the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA), where she helped guide federal policy related to highly automated vehicles, vehicle safety, and congressional engagement. Earlier in her career, she served as a senior advisor to U.S. Senator Carl Levin and held roles in the U.S. House of Representatives and the Government Accountability Office.
