The presentation will give an overview of the kind of on-vehicle communication use cases seen in General Motors. GM took the route of writing its own middleware stack for its autonomous vehicle use cases. This is now open source (https://github.com/dallison/subspace). This presentation will go over some of the use cases that are important to an autonomous vehicle, and why having a minimal, yet powerful middleware stack is important for both performance and safety.
