Deontic builds an AI agent that turns requirements and operational design domains (ODDs) into regulation-ready autonomy scenarios. It targets the bottleneck in L4/L5 validation and homologation: rules change, specs drift, scenarios explode, and ODDs expand.
UNECE work on Automated Driving Systems is making scenario-based, auditable evidence mandatory. Deontic converts natural-language requirements into executable ASAM OpenSCENARIO and OpenDRIVE files, with parametric sweeps and simulator integration.
It acts as the validation intelligence layer between VLM scene understanding and homologation proof. The agent runs in VS Code, Claude, a Web UI, and an API, linking requirements tools and simulation stacks. Fine-tuned models outperform general LLMs on OpenX generation. Base scenario authoring falls from about four hours and $500–660 to roughly one minute and $30, with bulk parameter sweeps at industrial scale.
